After a long career in the IT space, Michelle moved back to New Zealand in 2005 with the dream of owning a horse and having an easier life. Apparently that wasn't to be, although she did start with one horse …
A Parelli video with a wheelchair bound woman working liberty with a friesian stallion, ignited her passion for Friesian Horses, which lead to trips to the Netherlands over fours years, to research and eventually buy her dream horses.
While in the Netherlands, riding in beautiful facilities and on surfaces that were yet to be seen in New Zealand, a second dream was launched and Stable88 followed a couple of years later.
September 2012 saw the opening of Stable88 which is host to many national and international clinicians.
The latest stage of it's development is the addition of Rehab and Fitness facilities which are due to open in June 2019.
